In addition to gaining certification, successful candidates will be granted enrollment into graduate classes that are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
Certification is valid for 5 years. Within 6 months of renewal, certified respiratory therapists must complete required continued education units with an accredited higher education institution. Continued education units will continually provide respiratory therapists with current state of the art evaluation and treatment plans along with any other changes to the industry.
